Making the time for the time of my life.

Published by cervantes at 12:12 am under Blogroll Edit This

That is my plan. I’ve researched enough about internet marketing and think I know enough to dip my feet in. I know that with a schedule sometimes you have to do things a little diferently . While some of  you over the past couple months were watching tv or sleeping, I was studying. That was my personal choice and one that I made consiously.

I didnt give up my day job, just spending other (spare) time doing other things. Just think about how much time is spent on the tv? Me, Im a little obsessive about this marketing stuff. The time is now 1:39 am and last nite was bedtime at 6:00am.  Had a flood call around 10:00am.  Am I tired? You bet cha! Is it worth it? You bet cha!!!!!!  I know the time I spend now will pay dividends in the future of time and resources to enjoy that time.

Ever been on a real vacation. As I ponder the subject nothing comes to mind. Sure Ive had paid vacations from companies before but that only meant I had some time and got paid for it. Still the same old weekly check just you didnt have to work that week to get that check. Went to beach a couple of times and thats about it. Whoo Hoo. I live about 45 minutes to the beach so I can go anytime I want to.

But what about Greece or Paris or say Egypt. Ya right on what I was making. Well Im mad as hell And Im not going to take it anymore.  Heres the tricky part and Its real simple. Get off the lazy ass and do something about it. There it is if is is an it. Huh Makes sense to me.

Now Im off mine and You can track my status updates here. I need to learn scripts. Ok doesnt sound to hard Ill let you know. I have in the past made several websites for people but nothing complex. People have always liked them though. Last one was for some friends www.thunderheadrocks.com I never tried or thought much about monitization till now. I need to decide on a hosting provider. I think I  might go with kiosk. I have several domains listed in a few places. Mostly I use dynadot. I like their privacy. And never again will I use GoDaddy. Having some problems with them and will be pulling all remaing domains from them. It started when I tried to sell a domain with tdnam .com. Which is owned by godaddy. I’ll leave that for another post. Its just plain ignorance.

Did you know that godaddy just aquired all of registerflys accounts. They lost their Icann acredation. WOW what an overnite payday. Also researched last nite that godaddy can actually confiscate and hold your domains hostage for sums of money. From what Ive read its about $200 per domain. What? Research it yourself. Imagine contacting a site owner for a link to site and sees it as spam and reports it. Good Luck.

All my domains I bought  I liked the names  so I bought them cheap. Now I researched this domain name thing and discovered a domains worth is factored by its traffic. Nice Ok got it. Thanks to Woody Maxim and his newsletters I used both this knowledge to aquire the name serachfar.com. was it cheap. not really $78.00. not $9.95. Why because this was an expiring domain, and the name kinda stuck in my head. And alot of the marketing has been done. A search domain with existing traffic, backlinks  and the domain has or had a google PR. Nice. Worth it? You bet Cha!

Ok the hosting thing again. No problem just some money. Yea.. Now comes building sites. Here  I where some serious focus comes into play that Im seriouly lacking but trust me not I will learn. Hint Hint.. What to do what to build? I need to learn to install scripts ands thanks to Woody I have one to install. :). I think I want to create my own products. Dont know much about doing that but ill learn.

  Alright Im outta here, Gregg
